Chemistry 320M is the first half in a two-semester course in Organic Chemistry. It covers the chemistry needed for premedical, predental, life sciences, and pharmacy majors. The course is comprised of four units covering approximately 10 chapters in the text. Topics generally covered in the course include bonding in carbon compounds, acids and bases, chemistry of alkanes, alkenes and alkynes, stereochemistry and aromatic compounds.
CH 302 or CH 302H with a grade of at least C-, and credit or registration for CH 204 or CH 317; or consent of University Extension advisor.
