Class Description:

This is an introductory statistics course for non-math majors. The course covers exploratory data analysis, elementary probability theory, and statistical inference procedures. Emphasis is placed on "real world" examples. Correct usage of statistical terminology is emphasized, as is correct interpretation of statistical tests.

Graphical presentation, frequency functions, distribution functions, averages, standard deviation, variance, curve-fitting, and related topics.
