Emotional Intelligence in Leadership Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I get the EQi (Emotional Quotient Inventory)?
Approximately two weeks prior to your class date, you will receive an email from the Professional Development Center with the EQi Consent form and directions for completing the EQi. Therefore it is very important that you provide us your email address when you register.

You will access the EQi on a website, and the link will be provided in our email to you along with an access code and password information.

Why do I need to complete an EQi Consent form?
After having completed the BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory (BarOn EQ-i® ) online through EQ University, your protocol is scored and a report of the results is generated.  Your results are reviewed by a qualified professional (Dr. Rich Handley, President of EQ University and UT PDC Instructor) who will be conducting your class and going over the results. Your report will be given to you for your personal records during the workshop. Because the information from the test results is regarded as confidential, you must sign and return the consent form before taking the online assessment. All information shared with your professional is confidential and subject to rules regarding privileged communication between qualified professional and client.

When should I complete the EQi?
Please complete the EQi at least two working days prior to the workshop. This will allow the instructor (Dr. Rich Handley, President of EQ University and UT PDC Instructor) enough time to review your results and prepare an individualized report that will be given to you during the workshop.

How long does the EQi take?
Please set aside 30 minutes or so to take the online survey.

When will I get the results from the EQi?
Dr. Rich Handley (President of EQ University and UT PDC Instructor) will give each participant their EQi results during the workshop.
