Registration Information

Secure Web Registration

If you are paying by credit card, you may register with our secure shopping cart. Find the course(s) for which you wish to register, then click the "Add to cart" button on the right hand side of the screen. The class will automatically be added to your shopping cart. When you are ready to complete your transaction, hit the "Check Out" link under the shopping cart icon.

Phone Registration

Call the Registrar at (512) 471-4633 or (800) 687-7345, and provide your VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express number, expiration date, card verification number, and zip code.

Mail-in Registration

Mail the completed registration form with payment or a copy of your purchase order to Registrar, Professional Development Center, The University of Texas at Austin, P.O. Box 7518, Austin, TX 78713-7518. (UT campus mail code: E2000). You will be able to fill the form out on your computer, but you will not be able to save the form. You will need to complete the form and then print the form.

Fax-in Registration

Fax the completed registration form to (512) 232-6126. Include your credit card number, expiration date, card verification number, and zip code; a copy of your purchase order; a voucher with authorized signature; or UT IDT information. You will be able to fill the form out on your computer, but you will not be able to save the form. You will need to complete the form and then print the form.

Payment

Pre-payment is the preferred method of payment for courses. If your employer is paying your workshop or certificate fee, please enclose a copy of your purchase order, and PDC will invoice you. If a student is enrolling in a workshop payment is due within 30 days. If a student is enrolling in a Certificate Program, payment has to be received within 30 days of enrollment. Students enrolled in a Certificate Program, will not receive their Certificate of Completion until payment is received in full. If you are paying the fees yourself, we must receive payment before the program begins. The fee includes all materials, unless noted. Please make checks payable to The University of Texas at Austin. The Professional Development Center (PDC) reserves the right to change a fee for any course or program on this web site. Please keep in mind that payment of tuition and fees are the responsibility of the student. In the event the employer or sponsor does not make full payment, all charges and late fees will be returned to and be the responsibility of the student.

Confirmation

Once you submit a registration form, you have agreed to pay all course fees. Registration is complete once we receive payment. At that time, we will mail a receipt. If you do not receive a receipt within 10 days of sending in payment, call (512) 471-4633 to confirm your registration. Please retain your confirmation of enrollment and payment for tax purposes.

Course Cancellations

PDC reserves the right to substitute instructors, change program dates, and cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen events. PDC is not responsible for any expenses incurred before the start of a program, e.g., airline tickets, hotel, or car rental. If PDC cancels a course, you may request a tuition transfer to another course within the same semester or a full refund (allow three to four weeks from the date of the request).

Certificate or Transcript Request Form

If you need a copy of a certificate or transcript, please complete the Official Transcript or Copy of Certificate Request Form.

Income Tax Deductions for Educational Expenses

The Internal Revenue Service provides information about eligible expenses. Please retain your confirmation of enrollment and payment for tax purposes.

Course Credit

PDC courses earn continuing education credit units (CEUs), Continuing Professional Education (CPEs) for accountants and Certified Public Accountants, and some earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) for project managers (pending for workshops). Satisfactory completion requires full attendance and demonstrated knowledge of the intended learning outcomes. PDC courses do not earn academic credit and cannot be transferred to degree programs.

Class Location

Classes meet in the locations specified in each course description. Limited parking for participants is provided in adjacent lots.

Discounted Registration Fees

Texas Exes

The more than 91,000 members of Texas Exes are eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on PDC's online professional development programs and online certification prep classes, with the exception of the Paralegal Certificate Program. There are no discounts on the Paralegal Certificate Program. The fees also include access to extensive online business and IT libraries. For more information, please visit the CIE Learn website.

UT Austin Staff/Faculty

UT Austin staff and faculty receive a $25.00 discount on most classes. Some classes are not eligible for discounts, and other rates for more costly classes do apply. All discount rates for UT faculty and staff will be noted in your shopping cart. Please contact the program coordinator for bundled discount rates for UT staff and faculty.

Please note your UT Austin employment status on the registration form so it can be verified. Fee payment may be made by the department or the individual.

Online Texas Real Estate Salesperson Courses

No registration discounts apply to any of these courses.
