Registration Information

Secure Web Registration

If you are paying by credit card, you may register with our secure shopping cart. Find the course(s) for which you wish to register, then click the "Add to cart" button on the right hand side of the screen. The class will automatically be added to your shopping cart. When you are ready to complete your transaction, hit the "Check Out" link under the shopping cart icon.

Phone Registration

Call the Registrar at (512) 471-4633 or (800) 687-7345, and provide your VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express number, expiration date, card verification number, and zip code.

Mail-in Registration

Mail the completed registration form with payment or a copy of your purchase order to Registrar, Professional Development Center, The University of Texas at Austin, P.O. Box 7518, Austin, TX 78713-7518. (UT campus mail code: E2000). You will be able to fill the form out on your computer, but you will not be able to save the form. You will need to complete the form and then print the form.

Fax-in Registration

Fax the completed registration form to (512) 232-6126. Include your credit card number, expiration date, card verification number, and zip code; a copy of your purchase order; a voucher with authorized signature; or UT IDT information. You will be able to fill the form out on your computer, but you will not be able to save the form. You will need to complete the form and then print the form.

Payment

Pre-payment is the preferred method of payment for courses. If your employer is paying your workshop or certificate fee with a purchase order, please enclose a copy of your purchase order along with a registration form, and PDC will invoice you. If your agency is paying using a company credit card, payment is due at time of registration.

Effective 9/1/2014 PDC will no longer accept registrations without a credit card payment or an approved purchase order prior to enrollment. When submitting a purchase order, payment is due within 30 days. Exceptions to this rule include: If paying with a purchase order for courses Powered by Skill Soft or Real Estate Courses, students will not be enrolled in the course until payment from the agency or company has been received.

If a student is self paying and enrolling in a workshop, payment is due in full at time of registration. When registering in a certificate program, students can enroll by paying in full or submitting a promissory note application and making a down payment. Please contact a program coordinator to determine if your certificate program is eligible for a Promissory Note.

Please note, students will not receive their Certificate of Completion until payment is received in full. If you are paying the fees yourself, we must receive payment before the program begins. The program fee includes all materials, unless noted.

Please make checks payable to The University of Texas at Austin. The Professional Development Center (PDC) reserves the right to change a fee for any course or program on this web site. Please keep in mind that payment of tuition and fees are the responsibility of the student. In the event the employer or sponsor does not make full payment, all charges and late fees will be returned to and be the responsibility of the student.

Confirmation

Once you submit a registration form, you have agreed to pay all course fees. Registration is complete once we receive payment. At that time, we will mail a receipt. If you do not receive a receipt within 10 days of sending in payment, call (512) 471-4633 to confirm your registration. Please retain your confirmation of enrollment and payment for tax purposes.

Course Cancellations

PDC reserves the right to substitute instructors, change program dates, and cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen events. PDC is not responsible for any expenses incurred before the start of a program, e.g., airline tickets, hotel, or car rental. Please contact the coordinator or visit the website for confirmation of event before making travel arrangements. If PDC cancels a course, you may request a tuition transfer to another course within one year of enrollment or request a full refund (allow three to four weeks for processing from the date of the request).

Copy of Certificate or Professional Transcript Request

If you need a copy of your certificate or professional transcript, please complete the Official Transcript or Copy of Certificate Request Form.

Income Tax Deductions for Educational Expenses

The Professional Development Center offers non-credit course and therefore are unable to provide a 1098-T Form. Please retain your confirmation of enrollment and payment for tax purposes, in some cases students are eligible for the Lifetime Learning Credit. Course Re-Certification Credit

PDC courses earn continuing education credit units (CEUs), Please visit each course for eligible re-certification credits for your credential. PDC courses do not earn academic credit and cannot be transferred to degree programs. Please note, satisfactory completion requires full attendance, demonstrated knowledge of the intended learning outcomes and account paid in full.

Class Location

Classes meet in the locations specified in each course description. Limited parking for participants is provided in adjacent lots.

Special Assistance

Discounts

Multiple discounts cannot be applied to any registration.

Group Discounts

Register 3 or more people for any one and two day workshop and receive a 10% group discount. Some certificates are eligible for a group discount. Please visit the course page or contact a Program Coordinator for more details.

Texas Exes

Texas Exes are eligible to receive a 10% discount on PDC's online professional development programs and online certificate prep courses powered by Skill Soft. Courses not eligible include Paralegal Certificate Program (English or Spanish), Paralegal Specialist courses, Technical Writing or Technical Communication programs, Real Estate online, Non Profit Management, or Franklin Covey courses. For more information, please visit the CIE Learn website for courses eligible to receive the 10% alumni discount. Please include your Texas Exes ID # on the registration form.

UT Austin Staff/Faculty

UT Austin staff and faculty receive a $25.00 discount on most classes and a $150.00 discount on some Certificate Programs. All discount rates for UT faculty and Staff will be available in your shopping cart. Please contact the program coordinator for details. Please note, some classes are not eligible for discounts and other rates may apply.

PMI Austin Chapter Members

PMI Austin Chapter Members are eligible for a 10% discount on any one day or two day workshop. Certificate Programs and Exam Preps not eligible. Please note your PMI Membership ID # on the registration form so it can be verified.
