Writers at Work Certificate Program

How long will it take me to complete each part in the series?

Depending on the amount of time you devote to the program, each can be completed within 1 month or less. You may take as much time as 4 months to complete the course.

If I don't complete the course in the four months allotted time frame what can I do?

Students are provided 4 months to complete the program. In the event a student does not complete the course in the allotted time students will be required to re-enroll in the program.

How is the program administered?

Students are provided study guides and materials for each part for which they are registered. Students must purchase the textbook themselves.

What types of assessments are involved?

Evaluation of your performance will be based on:

  • Online practice exercises
  • Mastery tests
  • Completed assignments

Are there any required books for the course?

Yes, please see course page for details.

Outside of tuition and book fees are there any other costs involved?

No other fees are assessed.

How do I obtain a certificate?

Please contact the Program Coordinator to request a gold seal certificate of completion. A certificate may take up to 5-7 days to process in order to confirm completion of the program and allow for processing time for the certificate.

Will the certificate be from The University of Texas?

The certificate awarded will be a gold seal certificate from The University of Texas, Professional Development Center.
