The Project Management Institute is the leading global association for the project management profession. The Professional Development Center at The University of Texas at Austin is a PMI® Global Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) (Provider 1616).

With this designation, PDC is approved by PMI to offer Professional Development Units (PDUs) for its courses that are related to general management, project and/or program management. In addition, PDC courses that are aligned with PMI®'s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), are approved for project management educational hours for individuals who are preparing to apply for PMI's certification exams.

PMI Austin Members are eligible to receive a 10% discount on any one and two day workshop that's approved for PDUs!

Please register using the PDC registration form and fax to (512) 232-6126. In order to receive the discount please include your PMI ID #, include your credit card number, expiration date, card verification number, and zip code; a copy of your purchase order; a voucher with authorized signature; or UT IDT information. You will be able to fill the form out on your computer, but you will not be able to save the form. You will need to complete the form, print the form and fax to PDC.

Using a balanced mix of lecture, classroom discussion, group exercises and classroom activities, you will learn the skills necessary to manage a project from initiation through completion.

How can PDC Help You Prepare for the PMP or CAPM Exam?

Are you Interested in the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®?

Those interested in achieving the CAPM® certification should take the PMP/CAPM Exam Prep Course. Visit the PMI website and learn more about preparing for the CAPM Exam. This course offers the preparation needed to successfully earn this PMI certification.

Are you interested in pursuing the Project Management Professional (PMP)® ?

If you are an experienced project manager intending to take the PMP® exam, you should take the PMP/CAPM Exam Prep Course. Please visit the PMI website to learn more about preparing for the PMP® Exam. In this course you gain practical test-taking experience through PMI-style practice exams and create your own personal study plan for continued use after the course.

Keep Your PMP® and PgMP® certifications in good standing!

For those with the PMP® or PgMP® certification, all 60 PDUs required to be earned and reported every three years to PMI can be achieved by completing various PMI® continuing education courses. All PDUs earned by completing PDC workshops can get reported in Category A to PMI®. There are no maximum limits for PDUs in Category A. This allows you to earn all the PDUs possibly needed for your PMP® and/or PgMP® recertification.
