Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is offered in partnership with McCombs School of Business - Texas Executive Education. The program is designed to help participants put effective, collaborative methods of leadership to work in their organizations and leverage the leadership potential of all members of the organization. Participants of the Leadership Academy program will focus on:

  • Leading change in order to address business needs
  • Champion ideas and influence others
  • Learn to solve tough problems in an efficient manner
  • Explore strategic thinking
  • Achieve results through accountability.

No matter your level, the Leadership Academy is designed to challenge your perceptions about leadership and the values that shape it, encouraging you to think differently as you experience numerous learning situations, intense discussions and peer interaction.

Who Should Attend

The Leadership Academy is ideal for anyone with current or anticipated leadership responsibilities:

  • High-level executives and managers
  • Managers expecting to take on leadership roles
  • Those who are not in management positions but are expected to lead and influence others in the course of their work.

Instructors

Certificate Requirements, Scheduling, and Pricing

You will be awarded a Certificate from The University of Texas, Professional Development Center upon the successful completion of five core and two elective courses.

  • Each instructor-led course is a one or two-day course from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please see individual courses above for detailed course information.
  • To register for a course, click on the course name. The course dates, location, cost and registration links are listed on the individual course pages.
  • "Advocacy: Championing Ideas and Influencing Others" and "Financial Analysis & Measuring Business Performance" are offered through McCombs School of Business, Texas Executive Education. When taking these two courses please follow the link to the McCombs website and register through them. (Students enrolling in either of these two courses as a core will receive a certificate with the Professional Development Center in partnership with McCombs School of Business, Texas Executive Education.
  • Participants will be eligible for a $150.00 when taking the last PDC class. Please contact the Registrar for discount.
