Emotional Intelligence: Assessing and Maximizing Your Competencies and Skills

Day 1

Not just a trend, not just a buzzword. Emotional Intelligence is a highly effective approach for improving vital interpersonal conduits for organizational success. Identify the skill groupings that "raise the bar" of leadership effectiveness, and experience practical exercises to increase productivity in all sectors.

Emotional intelligence is expressed through a set of everyday skills and practices. The "BAR" of leadership is raised through increased personal Balance, thoughtful Action, and authentic Relationships. Support your associates in learning the practices that strengthen leadership impact, no matter their level in the organization.

EQi REQUIRED PRIOR TO CLASS!

This workshop utilizes the acclaimed Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQi). Participants will be emailed a consent form and the url for the EQi prior to the start of the course. Participants must complete the EQi at least two working days prior to the workshop. This allows the instructor time to review the EQi results and prepare a report for each participant. Completing the EQi prior to class increases the benefit you receive from the course.

Day 2

Emotionally Intelligent leaders are more successful at training and developing people because they project more strongly and positively through powerful Leadership Presence.

Examine the three areas of Leadership Presence: Projection, Control, and Connection. Review how Leadership Presence manifests itself every day in the behavior of leaders, and what can be done to improve it. Results of attendees Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i®) will be used to build a comprehensive analysis of their overall Leadership Presence. The analysis will help locate areas of leadership "drag", overall balance as a leader, and areas that provide the most leverage for change. Each attendee will receive some coaching from the instructor on the specific area of their EQ-i® that will provide the most leverage for change.

Building on the lessons learned in the first class, attendees learn to enhance the specific areas of their EQ-i® results that comprise Leadership Presence. These are the areas of Emotional Intelligence most easily seen by others and will have the greatest impact on leadership effectiveness.

Prerequisite

Completing the EQ-i® is a prerequisite for this course. There is a non-refundable/non-transferable fee of $77 for the EQ-i® and the Leadership Presence Workbook included in the price of this class.
