Course Details

Litigation Specialist Program

Litigation is the largest single area of employment for paralegals.

It involves helping an attorney prepare for, conduct, and potentially appeal the results of a trial. More and more, alternative forms of conflict resolution are encompassed within the realm of the litigation specialist, such as arbitration, mediation, and even the new concept of "mini-trials."

No matter what form litigation takes, an attorney is much more productive with a trained paralegal at his or her side. Whether the paralegal is interviewing witnesses, preparing a client for e-discovery, gathering evidence, preparing legal documents, the paralegal's work makes the attorney more efficient, able to take on more client and represent those clients more effectively.
