Exceptional writing skills are the mark of exceptional professionals. From persuasive memos to complaint letters; and sales letters to executive summaries – the need for solid written communication is stronger than ever.

In fact, effective written communication is cited as one of the most crucial skills to have for workplace success. Learn to produce documents and correspondence that are concise, attractive and easily digestible.

This class will give you the know-how, tips and tools to help you avoid common mistakes. We will cover written style, tone, and clarity, and review email and social media tips and etiquette.

You will develop effective business writing with structure sentences that are impressive, powerful, and efficient.

There is no prerequisite for this course.

What Should I Bring to Class?

Please bring three business letters or emails, preferably at least one paragraph in length, which you have recently written. You will use these samples of your work to assess your current writing style, apply techniques discussed in class, and develop strategies for improving your writing.
