You Can Do Magic! - July
Learn the real secrets of MAGIC from a professional magician who is also an award-winning teacher. Yes, you will learn to fool your friends (and confound your enemies!) and you will improve your own self confidence and ability to communicate effectively through the use of tricks and illusion. Explore the psychology of deception as you are initiated into the world of magic.
Classes will include an introduction to magic (Oath of Secrecy, Sleight of Hand, Intro to the World of Magic); learning the tools of the magician’s trade; how to create magic with ordinary objects, from rubber bands to tissues; mental magic parapsychology; magic with playing cards; and much more, all the way to learning the grand finale - how to perform! Each new trick or concept will first be performed, then explained, and finally practiced by students.
Kent’s methods for teaching magic have been widely published and are used around the world. They were originally developed for UT Informal Classes in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Requirements: Special clothing: Special Robes (just kidding!) Supplies needed: $20 course supplies provided by Magic Hotline include a magic book, magic wand, and specific supplies for each class.
