Digital Photography for Beginners - July
Become comfortable and familiar with the manual operation and basic workings of the digital SLR camera. Use of optional lenses, basic lighting techniques, and changes in technology will also be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on creativity and learning how to incorporate compositional elements that will allow you to turn good photos into great photos.
Carlos Austin is a third generation photographer born in Mexico City in 1954. He studied the Arts at Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1974-75; at Kunstakademie in Duesseldorf, Germany in 1985-87, studying under artist and professor Nan June Paik; and photography at Austin Community College in 1993-94.
Please note this class will meet in room 3.122 on 7/16 and 3.108 on 7/23.
Requirements: You must have a digital SLR camera with manual control settings. Be prepared to spend a minimum of $5 for processing costs or digital storage. Please bring your camera manual with you to class.
