Gory Days 102:  Memorable Horror Characters of the 1980s

From the decade of decadence and over-indulgence came our most memorable horror characters: Jason Voorhees, Fred Kruger, Pinhead, Chucky, and more!  In the 1980s, seemingly every weekend there was a new gruesome horror film released with new splatter-effects and a new horror personality to fear.  Now, join Joseph Fotinos as he guides you back to that era and examines just what was it that made these horror characters withstand the test of time.  Scenes from the films will be shown and discussed and behind the scenes information passed along to shed some light on the men and women who brought horror to life in the 80s.  The class will also examine the creators of these characters, Wes Craven, Sean Cunningham, Tobe Hooper, John Carpenter, and will explore where their twisted versions of reality came from.
