Golf Beginning I

Take a swing at golf! Learn the fundamentals of the golf swing, chipping and putting. This beginning class is for those with little or no knowledge of the sport.

Barbara Puett is a former state champion, co-author of “Golf Etiquette” and the new “Woman’s Own Golf Book,” and a six-time winner of the Austin City Championship.

Requirements: If you have your own clubs, bring them; if you do not have your own clubs, loaners are available. Course fee includes loaner clubs. Class will be held at Oak Hill Driving Range, 5243 W Highway 290, (512) 892-5634. Expect to spend $3-$6 on balls at each meeting. Optional green fee is $6 to play at a local course at the end of the last class.

Age minimum for this class is 18 years. Please note this class requires all participants to complete and sign a University Release and Indemnification Agreement before being considered enrolled in the class. The form can be downloaded from our FAQs page.
