Photography: Digital Photography for Beginners - January

Become comfortable and familiar with the manual operation and basic workings of the digital SLR camera. Use of optional lenses, basic lighting techniques, and changes in technology will also be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on creativity and learning how to incorporate compositional elements that will allow you to turn good photos into great photos.

Please note this class will meet on one Tuesday on 1/20 due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Instructor Carlos Austin is a third generation photographer born in Mexico City. His life has taken him from Minneapolis to Duesseldorf and many other places before landing him in Austin. Visit his instructor page for more information.

Requirements: You must have a digital SLR camera with manual control settings. Be prepared to spend a minimum of $5 for processing costs or digital storage. Please bring your camera manual with you to class.
