Beginning Rowing and Paddling for All Ages

The sport of rowing combines full body conditioning with an outstanding workout.  Texas Rowing Center’s personal instruction and flexible scheduling make learning to row easy, enjoyable, and stress-free.  Our certified coaches have most students rowing within their first hour.  Rowing is a challenging sport and great exercise. Learn to row and experience the beauty of Lady Bird Lake!

This class is for beginners through advanced.  You will receive six 1.5-hour rowing lessons (both sculling and sweep rowing) as well as six months of unlimited rowing, kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding.  Classes will be taught by Texas Rowing Center staff.  Once you are registered, you must call Texas Rowing Center at (512) 467-7799 to schedule your classes.  Tuition includes use of rowing and paddling equipment.

Requirements: Please note: The beginning and end date listed refer to the registration period only. Students will have six months from the time they register to complete their classes and take advantage of unlimited sculling and kayaking.

Please bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock.

Please note this class requires all participants to complete and sign a University Release and Indemnification Agreement before being considered enrolled in the class. The form can be downloaded from our FAQs page.
