Beginning Drawing
This course will teach basic drawing techniques. You will learn to “see” your subject matter. Each session is devoted to learning one of the basic drawing skills, including line, negative space, form and perspective. You will learn to use various black and white media: pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal. Plan to spend $45 to $50 on supplies and bring them to the first class along with $1 for handouts. Pat Falconer, MFA, Maryland Institute, has taught drawing courses in Austin for nine years, with a particular emphasis on beginner classes.
