Getting Started in Beekeeping

Do you want to learn how to keep honeybees but don’t know how to get started? Is beekeeping the right hobby for you and your family?  Join Jayne Clark as she breaks down the very basics of beekeeping and how to get started!  By the end of this class you will know where to purchase your equipment, the perfect spot to set up your colony, how to obtain your bees and what to expect your first year in beekeeping.  You will also have a detailed strategy for the fall to help you get ready for setting up your colony in the spring.  Click here to download additional information about this class.

Textbook “First Lessons In Beekeeping ” by Keith Delaplane, $18.  Please also bring materials to take notes.
